Metode perawatan luka yang berkembang saat ini adalah menggunakan prinsip moisture balance, yang disebutkan lebih efektif dibandingkan metode konvensional. Perawatan luka menggunakan prinsip moisture balance ini dikenal sebagai metode modern dressing (Angriani, 2020). Salah satu balutan yang sering digunakan adalah balutan foam dressing sekunder. Tujuan penelitian untuk menganalisa hasil dari perawatan luka modern dengan penggunaan foam dressing sebagai balutan sekunder. Metode penelitian menggunakan case study, sampel yang digunakan adalah 2 klien dengan menggunakan instrument pengkajian luka yang digunakan WINNERS Scale. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah perawatan luka modern dengan foam dressing efektif digunakan pada luka kaki diabetik dengan eksudat banyak sampai sedang. Kesimpulan adalah perawatan luka harus diimbangi dengan kadar gula darah yang terkontrol dan nutrisi yang baik sehingga diharapkan kepada petugas pelayanan Kesehatan agar lebih memperhatikan lagi hal tersebut. Kata Kunci: International Diabetes Federation, Metode Perawatan Luka, Modern Dressing, Foam Dressing Sekunder ABSTRACT The International Diabetes Federation (IDF) in 2019 said that diabetes is an issue in the world of health that has reached the alarming stage. Currently, almost half a million people (463 million) in the world have diabetes. in 2019 and it is estimated that the prevalence will increase in 2045 to 700 million people suffering from diabetes (IDF, 2019). The current wound care method is using the principle of moisture balance, which is said to be more effective than conventional methods. Wound care using the principle of moisture balance is known as the modern dressing method (Angriani, 2020). One of the most frequently used dressings is secondary foam dressing. The aim of this study was to analyze the results of modern wound care using foam dressing as a secondary dressing. The research method uses a case study, the sample used is 2 clients using the wound assessment instrument used the WINNERS Scale. The result of this study is that modern wound care with foam dressings is effective in diabetic foot wounds with a lot of to moderate exudate.
