- W4323922456 abstract "Metallic glasses /crystalline dual-phase coatings tend to have better mechanical properties than metallic glasses coatings, but their corrosion resistance is often deteriorated by crystallization. In this paper, a novel sealing method specially applied to metallic glasses /crystalline dual-phase coatings was developed, that is, the ultrasonic-assisted pre-sealing, annealing plus post-impregnating integration sealing treatment. The structure and properties of the sealing coatings were investigated by SEM, EDS, XRD, potentiodynamic polarization, EIS, and friction experiments. It was found that the coating sealed by the method proposed in this paper had a more compact sealing structure, and has better corrosion resistance than the impregnation sealing coating in long-term corrosion experiments. After 40 days of immersion, the corrosion current density of the multistep integration sealing coating still maintained 15.63 μA·cm−2, which was much higher than that of the impregnation sealing coating. In addition, it also showed better friction resistance than the impregnation sealing coating." @default.
