- W4327778814 abstract "Using multiple Light-Detection-and-Ranging (LIDAR) sensors in the robot vision system can provide visual information to the robot that covers blind spots. However, the data acquired by LIDAR sensors may be sparse, making difficult for robots to capture the size and the shape of a target object. This paper proposes a method for robot vision systems with multiple LIDAR sensors to construct a spatial model of a target object. The proposed method introduces a concept of ‘likelihood,’ which indicates how likely a part of the target object exists at each position in the space. This paper demonstrates the accuracy of the proposed method through an experiment using real LIDAR sensors against a benchmark method." @default.
