Structural and morphological studies are carried out by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDXS). The XRD and FE-SEM results show single-phase Sr2YF7 nanocrystals formation. The Upconversion Photoluminescence study is carried out using 980 nm laser excitation. The Yb3+ acts as an efficient energy transfer medium due to absorption around 980 nm. The upconversion study shows that the energy-transfer from Yb3+ to Ho3+ is successful in Sr2YF7 host matrix." @default.
