These fuels are a non-renewable energy source and with increasing population and travel needs at such a rapid pace, they are most likely to get finished by the end of the twenty-first century, if humanity does not find a suitable alternative. Moreover, combustion from these IC engines leaves a huge residue and acts as one of the biggest contributors to air pollution in the world. The experimental study was focused on creating a working physical model of a Stirling engine cycle for the operation. A spirit lamp was used to perform combustion on 10 ml fuel of diesel, petrol, and different ethanol-blended fuels in the order of the percentage of ethanol present in each of them. Observations were made to measure the output (rpm), cycle time (sec), and type of smoke produced. The measurements were further used to calculate and compare the torque (Nm), power (W), and energy (J) output with each of the fuels to provide evidence for a suitable argument. It was inferred that ethanol blending in fuels can be a suitable alternative to mainstream gasoline and diesel products as it is residual-free and smoke-free while being sufficiently efficient in terms of torque produced, energy, and power output." @default.
