- W4360944735 abstract "Metal cuttings using the conventional cooling method do not fit to meet the current stringent environmental conscious regulations due to more disposal of chemically contaminated coolant to the atmosphere. In the present work, an emerging and eco-friendly cooling technique that is MQL was investigated during the turning of 15-5PH stainless steel (SS) material and conventional cooling method was used for comparison purposes. Output of the work revealed that it was found that MQL cooling significantly reduced the cutting temperature(T), tool flank wear (Vb) and, surface roughness (Ra) over the conventional cooling conditions. Moreover, A low surface roughness was also observed under conditions of high cutting velocity. MQL condition is eco-friendly and delivered promising results to meet the sustainable machining requirements." @default.
