- W4361288587 abstract "Bulk acoustic wave (BAW) resonant optical detectors (RODs) operate at radio frequency, and have the following advantages: they are suitable for wireless detection systems, have high anti-interference capability, have low power consumption, can operate at high temperatures, and have a high sensitivity. Detection in the IR, visible, UV, X-ray, and γ-ray range has all been demonstrated, indicating their wide potential applications. However, the performance of the BAW RODs still needs to be improved to reach their promising potential. In this paper, we will give a brief introduction to the BAW RODs and review the developments of the detectors based on Quartz, Langasite, AlN, GaN, and ZnO resonators. We hope that this paper can provide guidance for the development of higher performance detectors." @default.
