- W4361762036 abstract "Hypertensive retinopathy refers to the morphological changes of retinal vessels in the fundus of the eye caused by long-term hypertension. Its most obvious feature is that the venous vessels at the intersection of arteries and veins are compressed and deformed. These changes reflect the degree of hypertension in patients to a certain extent. How to effectively detect these changes in advance is helpful to the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of the disease. In this paper, we first propose a down sampling method (PF pooling) for retinal vessel segmentation. Then, the U-Net network with PF pooling is used to segment the retinal vascular image. Next, the position where the shape of the blood vessel changes is extracted from the blood vessel segmentation map, the edge of the blood vessel is linearly fitted, and the angle caused by the compression is approximated by two straight lines. Finally, the included angle caused by compression is calculated according to the slope of the two straight lines. Professional doctors can analyze the patient's condition according to the included angle. The experimental results show that, compared with the included angle manually marked by professional doctors, the difference between the included angle obtained by us and it is very small. The comprehensive error is $${0.74}{^circ }$$ , and the error rate is $$2.28%$$ . This method is a new progress in automatic detection and quantification of hypertensive retinopathy, and is also helpful to assist doctors in diagnosing the degree of illness of hypertensive patients." @default.
