- W4362529038 abstract "Serving behavior of tunnels under normal working conditions but also extreme events such as earthquakes is very important for the safe and long-time operation, and effective measures are required to mitigate the static and dynamic damages to tunnels. The interface interacting mechanism is a fundamental topic in predicting the dynamic response of tunnels under seismic waves, and many interface models have been proposed to improve the serving behavior of tunnels. A review of different imperfect interface models and the related works is presented, and the characters of different interface models are discussed. A summary on the works shows that the interfacial properties around the tunnel lining play a significant role in optimizing the tunnel, and lots of measures are presented to increase the dynamic strength of tunnels. The future developments in the imperfect interface modeling and the engineering applications are discussed." @default.
