- W4362682008 abstract "India is a waterborne country. Nowadays it is very essential to replace fossil fuel-dependent boats with renewable energy-based boats to minimize the power scarcity issue as well as to contain environmental pollution. In rural areas communication is based on the ferry boats. Many areas of the tourism sector on riverside can luminescent solar concentrator(LSC) based solar electric boats which can be a great attraction for the user. Tourism will contribute economic as well as environmental growth of the country by using such innovative LSC-based solar electric boats. The concept of wind and solar electrical boats is proposed in this paper by considering tourist's transport on the coast side, in rivers and lakes. This work endeavors to set up technical as well as cost-effective features of a standalone application as self-dependent generation boat with a boost converter will feed the DC load (DC shunt motor). The whole photo voltaic solar source power will be extracted and fed to the solar electrical boat via a boost converter which is sufficient to drive the boat. The solar electrical boat using the boost converter model is simulated through MATLAB software and is compared with the theoretical indications. Such solar-powered electrical boats can be used in Namami Gange Project, India to minimize the fuel crisis issue." @default.
