- W4363626231 abstract "The increase of Electronic (online) Word of Mouth (eWOM) about programs in lifelong education raises such questions as ‘How useful eWOM is to learners or latent learners?’ and ‘How is eWOM processed and accepted by learners or latent learners?’ To answer the questions this study analyzes the process of eWOM by learners or latent learners based on literature reviews about theories and models and explains the structural relations among eWOM’s information characteristics and acceptance. The purpose of this study is to investigate positively the influences of eWOM’s information characteristics (consensus, vividness, and timeliness) on eWOM’s information acceptance mediated by eWOM’s information credibility and usefulness. For this purpose, data are collected from 386 learners or latent learners who experienced eWOM about programs in lifelong education through SNS. The results are as follows: first, the research model fit with the survey data. Therefore eWOM’s information may be useful to lifelong leaners or latent learners. Second, eWOM’s information credibility and usefulness positively influenced eWOM’s information acceptance and the influence of eWOM’s information credibility is stronger than other variables. Third, eWOM’s information characteristics influence eWOM’s information acceptance mediated by eWOM’s information credibility and usefulness. According to the results, discussions were suggested." @default.
