Extraigo las narrativas construidas por los organismos internacionales de alcance global y analizo su articulación por los entes regionales de cooperación. Metodológicamente, recurro al análisis crítico del discurso para visibilizar las narrativas y sus conexiones en forma de red. Empíricamente, analizo los elementos impulsores (sistémicos y regionales) que incidieron significativamente en la idea de crear la Alianza del Pacífico; privilegiando el peso de las prácticas sobre las estructuras materiales y los arreglos institucionales − sin desconocer su existencia. Concluyo que la narrativa Crisis-Oportunidad es construida por los organismos y foros internacionales. Regionalmente, el BID acopla esa narrativa, le confiere contenido y estructura su propia narrativa Empresarial. Este proceso − gestación sistémica, diseminación regional e identificación nacional de las narrativas −, resulta de una constante búsqueda de parte de los agentes locales y posterior identificación con las narrativas, prácticas y estrategias derivadas ajustadas a la representación del modelo de desarrollo a consolidar.ABSTRACTIn this paper, I inquire about the role of narratives in international relations from a productive conception of power. I extract the narratives built by global international organizations and their articulation by regional cooperation entities. Methodologically, I recur to critical discourse analysis to disclose the narratives and their connections as a network. Empirically, I analyze the key drivers’ elements (systemic and regional) that significantly influenced the Pacific Alliance’s creation, privileging the weight of practices over structure and institutional arrangements – without ignoring its existence. The narrative Crisis-Opportunity is built by international forums and organizations. Regionally, the Interamerican Development Bank adapts that story, adds content, and structures an Entrepreneurial narrative of its own.
