- W4365456171 abstract "Chemodynamic therapy (CDT) has been widely studied for antitumor application. Herein, CoFe-layered double hydroxides (CoFe-LDH) were fabricated by a coprecipitation method and followed by calcination treatment at 250 °C (LDH-250) and 500 °C (LDH-500). After thermal treatment, oxides content has increased gradually and the metal valence state changes which endow them photothermal and chemodynamic properties. Among them, LDH-250 possesses a considerable peroxidase-like catalytic activity at pH = 6.5 with Michaelis-Menten constant (KM) of 0.24 mM and maximum velocity (Vmax) of 4.00 × 10−8 M s−1. Besides, LDH-250 and LDH-500 exhibit good photothermal effects and the solution temperature could be elevated to 55.7 °C and 57.9 °C under irradiation with 808 nm laser for 10 min. In addition, the 4T1 cells and bacteria cultured with LDH-250 and LDH-500 were killed completely when exposed to NIR irradiation. In general, CoFe-LDH with thermal treatment shows enhanced Fenton catalytic ability and photothermal property which exhibits great potential for antibacterial and antitumor applications with good cytocompatibility." @default.
