In this work, a systematic method is proposed to optimize the arrangement pattern for 3D honeycomb and 3D re-entrant honeycomb structures. A new sample multiplication method is proposed as a supplement technique to gather sufficient training data while reducing time consumption by 93.75%. Simulations and experiments show that the ideal arrangement pattern proposed by this method increases the energy absorption capacity by 43% in equivalent lateral deformation. Further investigation demonstrates that the combination of different lattice structures in particular local arrangement pattern can alter their local mechanical behavior, thereby improving global performance. This optimization further unleashes the design potential of lattice structures and could provide some reference for future engineering application." @default.
