- W4365517832 abstract "Photosynthetic organisms are crucial for life as they convert solar energy into chemical energy, enabling the production of biomass including food and feed on Earth. Scientists have been committed to fabricating artificial light-harvesting systems (ALHSs) in mimicking the process of photosynthesis in nature. Supramolecular chemistry offers a new strategy for the self-organization of photosensitive molecules through various forms of non-covalent interactions. Rapid progress has been made in constructing supramolecular ALHSs that maximize the usage of solar sources. Herein, we highlight the representative examples for fabricating ALHSs and their applications for photocatalysis, with an emphasis on these catalyzed reaction types. The findings presented here will contribute to the future fabrication of efficient ALHSs as a step towards understanding natural photosynthesis." @default.
