But relatively few of these powerful positions are held by women. This chapter explores gender in leadership by focusing on the difficulties women experience in attaining and being seen as effective in top leadership positions. This chapter highlights the COVID-19 effects on management decision and gender discrimination. In this regard, this chapter takes into account the gender-differential impact of COVID-19 in relation to the response strategies, challenges, and policies at the management level and also in the global labour market. Next the chapter focuses on the most important cause of this gender disparity in management levels of empowerment of women's economic positions. This chapter is dedicated to the goal of getting rid of gender disparity and attaining a just society based on ethical norms and principles of working conditions of women in the management as well as global labour markets." @default.
