- W4366121505 abstract "This study examines factors influencing the intent of purchasing solar energy appliances in Vietnam. In this research, the proposed model is constructed on the TPB paradigm with the addition of context factors (perceived benefit, perceived cost, word of mouth) to analyze factors affecting the intent. A survey of 375 customers was conducted in Hanoi, Bac Ninh, Hai Duong, and Nam Dinh in Vietnam to test the research model and hypotheses. The relation among constructs was evaluated through structural equation modeling. Only attitude and subjective norms were found to be positive contributors to the intention. Besides, the positive relationship between attitude and perceived benefit was also highlighted, but the relationship between attitude and perceived cost was not confirmed. The positive impact of interpersonal influence and e-word of mouth on subjective norms was supported, too. Finally, the study stimulates further research and serves as a reference for managers and scholars interested in solar energy." @default.
