The non-stationary World Harmonized Transient Cycle used was used to study the cooling system. The data for the verification of the mathematical model were obtained on the engine stand of the KAMAZ scientific and technical center. As a result of modeling and comparing the operation of a cooling system with a mechanical drive and a PID pump controller, it was found that a cooling system with a PID controller better maintains the set temperature of the coolant, and also consumes less electricity to drive the pump. It is also worth noting that the belt drive of the pump leads to an excessive consumption of mechanical energy and a decrease in the temperature of the coolant below the set temperature at high engine speeds, and under heavy load at low engine speeds, the coolant overheats." @default.
