- W4366753208 abstract "Pendimethalin (PND) is a dinitroaniline herbicide that inhibits the synthesis of microtubules during cell division to suppress broadleaf weeds. Its widespread agricultural application raises the risk of contamination of underground water supplies. US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) declared the PND as a possible human carcinogen (group C). This study demonstrated the synthesis of modified silica nanoparticles based molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) with a higher affinity for PND, which has been employed for its removal from drinking water. The synthesized PND-MIP was characterized using various techniques, including NMR, ESI, FTIR, AFM, TGA, and DLS. The application of synthesized PND-MIP in the detection of trace PND in drinking water exhibited the excellent performance, high sensitivity, and good selectivity. The observed results revealed the potential of PND-MIP to be used in high throughput sample detection with satisfied results." @default.
