- W4366979085 abstract "River cleaning is important to ensure the health and sustainability of the environment, protect human health, support economic growth, provide recreational opportunities, and mitigate the impacts of climate change. The need for river cleaning has arisen manifolds these days due to a combination of human activities that have led to pollution, habitat destruction, and other environmental problems. Addressing these issues requires a range of solutions, including improved waste management, better agricultural practices, and efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. In the present scenario, many industries and factories had released waste material into waterbodies which leads to the extinction of aquatic life because of water pollution. While paying attention to this existing societal issue, a completely autonomous remote controlled based river cleaning machine model is proposed in this paper to collect the waste material or garbage floating on the water surface using GPS technology. This project is just an attempt to participate in ongoing river cleaning projects by the Government of India like “Namami Ganga” and “Narmada Bachao”. The proposed model could also be used in urban cities like Ahmedabad and Varanasi to clean the water bodies and to save the biotic life in water. The salient features of this project included the inclusion of a lithium-ion battery and solar panels to make it a hybrid vehicle to fulfill the power requirement and global positioning system (GPS) technology to locate the pollutant’s precise location on the water surface." @default.
