Lead free halide perovskite materials have fascinated the researchers towards the enhancement of PCE due to its environment friendly, high carrier mobility and electron transfer dynamics. Lead can be substituted with metals such as Tin (Sn), Germanium (Ge) and Bismuth (Bi) in perovskite material. In this review, electronic structure of perovskite, optoelectronic properties and recent progress related to the device performance has been focused. In addition, strategies to be followed to overcome the stability and oxidation state of the lead free perovskite materials have been discussed." @default.
