- W4367309068 abstract "Track While Scan (TWS) radars are generally used in military systems, constantly monitoring the positions of the target and generating data about it. They measure a target's coordinates, determine its trajectory, and predict its next location. They can usually track a single target but do so with very high sensitivity. TWS Radar is often used as a Fire Control Radar in the armed forces. This study addresses the design of a TWS radar with MATLAB programming language. The operation of this radar was simulated, and targets were detected using matched filter in MATLAB. Transmitted and received signal parameters are explained. A MATLAB algorithm which generates the transmitted and the received pulses for single Pulse Repetition Interval (PRI) was written in the first step. Match filtering was implemented for detecting targets. A fixed threshold value is defined, and position of the targets are reported with MATLAB algorithm. A white Gaussian noise was added to the output of the matched filter and targets are reported for the same threshold value. Radar was tested under the different Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) rates. The scope view of the TWS Radar was plotted for 2 degrees antenna beam width for different SNR values." @default.
