- W4367397306 abstract "The stability analysis of micro-polar nano-fluid occupied with finite extent in the horizontal directions is examined theoretically in the presence of three types of gravity modulations. It is found that the onset of convection occurs at lower values of Day-Night function in comparison to others and this geometry is similar to Hele-Shaw cells. In the linear analysis, we found the Hele-Shaw Rayleigh number by utilizing the normal mode method, and the 2-term Fourier series procedure is used for non-linear stability analysis. We found that the Micro-polar parameter and Hele-Shaw number have stabilizing effects, whereas Lewis number and nano-particle concentration Rayleigh-number both have destabilizing effects on the system. Heat/Mass transport in the region is analyzed by two different approaches, Mathematica NDSolve and Runge-Kutta-Fehlberg method (RKF-45), and the rate of heat/ mass transport is exactly the same in both cases. Thus, the convergence of all the Mathematica NDSolve solutions has been verified by the RKF-45 method. In non-linear stability analysis, the impact of micro-polar parameter, K, Prandtl number, δ, the frequency of gravity modulation, the amplitude of gravity modulation, Rn and Hele-Shaw number on heat/mass transfer is examined. Both heat/mass transport decreases in the region while increasing the micro-polar parameter and Hele-Shaw number. As the amount of the amplitude of gravity modulation increases, the heat/mass transport in the region also increases." @default.
