Due to chattering phenomena, power losses increase when using the classical sliding mode control, and to reduce the steady-state error, ensure a good dynamic response, and achieve high power efficiency, a TOSMC strategy is applied to control the photovoltaic system. The studied system contains the PV panel, the DC–DC boost converter, the resistive load, and the proposed MPP tracking (MPPT) technique based on a TOSMC algorithm. This designed system is simulated using Matlab software, and the obtained simulation results show smaller steady-state error and good overall efficiency." @default.
