EDM 후 쇼트피닝(SP)을 실시하고, 4점 굽힘피로시험을 실시하였다. SP 시험편의 표면조도는 피닝시간에 관계없이 거칠었으며, 모재시험편의 2배 이상 거칠었다. 모재시험편과 SP 모재시험편의 피로한도는 유사하였다. 그러나 균열 모재시험편은 균열 깊이가 증가함에 따라 감소하였으나, SP 균열 시험편은 a = 0.2 mm까지 SP 모재시험편의 피로한도와 유사하였다. SP로 균열 깊이 a = 0.2 mm까지 무해화 가능하였다. 무해한 균열크기는 SP균열 모재시험편의 응력확대계수와 하한계응력확대의 관계로부터 평가하였다. 무해한 균열 크기는 균열형상비에 관계없이 평가될 수 있었다. 무해한 균열크기는 균열 깊이(a)에 의해 결정되었고, 무해한 균열크기 평가도에서 균열형상비의 영향은 작았다. To address global warming, studies on eco-friendly electric vehicles are being actively conducted. Battery packs for electric vehicles are made from aluminum to reduce weight. In this study, by using A6061-T6 for an electric vehicle battery pack, we developed electrical discharge machining (EDM) cracks with a crack depth (a) ranging from 0.1 to 0.3 mm. Shot peening (SP) was performed after EDM, and a four-point bending fatigue test was conducted. The surface roughness of the SP specimen was rough regardless of the SP time. Moreover, it was more than twice as rough as the base metal specimen. The fatigue limits of the base metal and SP base metal specimens were similar. However, the crack base metal specimen decreased as the crack depth increased, and the SP crack base metal specimen was similar to the fatigue limit of the SP base metal specimen at approximately a = 0.2 mm. Notably, harmless cracks with crack depths of approximately a = 0.2 mm could be observed with SP. The size of harmless crack was evaluated from the relationship between the stress intensity and threshold stress intensity factors of the SP crack base metal specimen. The harmless crack size was determined by the crack depth (a), and the influence of aspect ratio was negligible in the diagram of harmless crack size evaluation." @default.
