- W4376139094 abstract "It is still challenging to investigate the effect of resonator defects on the sensitivity and FOM improvement while maintaining the sensor size constant. In this paper, we design a MIM waveguide structure coupled with spherical particles to obtain a higher power refractive index sensor based on The Mi scattering and its extension theory. The transmission characteristics of this plasmonic structure are numerically studied based on the finite element method (FEM). The simulation results display that multi-mode results are obtained by changing the structural parameters of the design: the quality factors obtained in different modes are as high as 12, 27.7 and 23.8 respectively. Refractive index sensitivity can be up to 500 and 1000 nm/RIU. These findings have a good prospect for the improvement and optimization of plasma sensors." @default.
