Then suggesting priorities for improvements to bridge the gap in the institutional performance of the school in light of the results of self-assessment. The study followed the descriptive analytical approach. It also relied on a mixed design research, which provides an opportunity to use both quantitative and qualitative methods to collect and analyze data. The researchers used two tools; The first was a list of quality standards and indicators developed by the General Administration for Quality and School Accreditation at Yemeni Ministry of Education for the year 2019. The second tool was data collection models prepared by the two researchers, and (26) of respondents participated in the self-evaluation process (13) from inside the school, and (13) respondents from outside it, and some interviews were conducted to identify the level of institutional performance according to quality standards. The results of the self-assessment showed that the overall institutional performance level of Umm Al-Muminin Aisha School in Amran Governorate, Yemen obtained a performance rate of (50.9%) and an average rating of (medium). from general education schools; It prevents the provision of high quality education that meets the aspirations that society expects from its educational system. At the level of standards and indicators, the results revealed many strengths and weaknesses in the institutional performance of the school, and on the basis this, the researchers presented a set of recommendations to enhance strengths and overcome weaknesses and shortcomings, in addition to a number of suggestions for future studies on similar topics in order to ensure the improvement of the quality of performance in this school and all public education schools in the rest of Yemeni governorates. Keywords: Self-evaluation, public education schools, quality and accreditation standards, Umm Al-Momineen Aisha School, Amran Governorate. الملخص: هدفت هذه الدراسة للتعرف على إجراءات تطبيق عملية التقييم الذاتي بمؤسسات التعليم العام اليمنية وفق معايير الجودة والاعتماد المدرسي (المستوى الأول)، وكذا التعرف على نتائج عملية التقييم الذاتي لمدرسة أم المؤمنين عائشة بما تتضمنه من قياس لمستوى الأداء الحالي للمدرسة، والكشف عن نقاط القوة والضعف فيها، وتحديد أولويات التحسين في أدائها في ضوء نتائج التقييم الذاتي، واتبعت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، واعتمدت ايضاً على تصميم البحث المختلط mixed design الذي يتيح فرصة استخدام كل من الأساليب الكمية والكيفية لجمع وتحليل البيانات، وقد استخدم الباحثان استمارة التقييم الذاتي وفق معايير الجودة التي طورتها الإدارة العامة للجودة والاعتماد المدرسي بوزارة التربية والتعليم اليمنية 2019م. وأوضحت نتائج التقييم الذاتي لمدرسة أم المؤمنين عائشة بمحافظة عمران- اليمن بأن مستوى الأداء العام للمدرسة كان بتقدير (متوسط)، ويُعد تقدير الأداء هذا أقل من المستوى المعياري المتوقع من أداء مدارس التعليم العام في هذا العصر الذي يتسم بعصر الجودة، ذلك أن تقدير الأداء بدرجة متوسطة لا يرتقي إلى درجة التمكن والاتقان التي تنشدها المؤسسات التربوية المعاصرة من مدارس التعليم العام؛ وبالتالي فإن عدم تحقيق معايير الجودة في أداء مؤسسات التعليم العام قد تحول دون تقديم تعليم ذي جودة عالية يلبي التطلعات التي يترقبها المجتمع من نظامه التعليمي، كما كشفت نتائج التقييم الذاتي عن نقاط القوة؛ بالإضافة إلى نقاط الضعف في أداء مدرسة أم المؤمنين عائشة، وانطلاقاً من نتائج التقييم الذاتي قدم الباحثان عدداً من المقترحات والتوصيات لتعزيز نقاط القوة ومعالجة جوانب القصور بما يسهم في تحسين جودة أداء مدرسة أم المؤمنين عائشة خاصة، ومدارس التعليم العام في مختلف المحافظات اليمنية عامة. الكلمات المفتاحية: التقييم الذاتي، معايير الجودة والاعتماد، مدارس التعليم العام، مدرسة أم المؤمنين عائشة، محافظة عمران" @default.
