- W4376873612 abstract "Stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) is a precision treatment that allows high doses of radiation to be administered to the tumor volume while limiting the dose received by the surrounding healthy organs. This makes it possible to administer ablative doses to the tumor with high local control, making it an alternative in the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma. This treatment is indicated in patients as a bridge to transplant, inoperable, or complementary treatment to other therapies such as embolization, with local control above 90% according to series. Doses and fractions are variable, and the optimal scheme has not been established. The use of this therapy has increased in recent years, although its evidence is limited. Prospective randomized studies are necessary to make this treatment the first line of action." @default.
