- W4377030488 abstract "Cyclic voltammetry (CV) is a powerful technique to study about the electron transfer-initiated chemical reactions, which includes catalysis and other reactions; it helps to determine the electrochemical activity of a molecular species, study of biosynthetic reaction pathways and the electrochemically generated free radicals. Its versatility combined with the ease of measurements has served in the extensive use of CV in the field of electrochemistry, organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, and biochemistry. Here, in this study, various cyclic voltamogramms have been investigated on different parameters like: effect on the electrode material, analyte in an electrochemical cell and scan rate. To examine these effects, electrochemical cells were built utilizing various electrode materials and electrolytes to record cyclic voltammograms. The current data unequivocally demonstrate that these factors play a considerable role in determining the characteristics of the observed voltammograms. With different scan rates, the impacts on current values in cyclic voltammograms have been studied and it reveals that various parameters and its corresponding mechanism of reaction within the electrochemical cell play a crucial role in cyclic voltammetric measurement. So, the electrochemical phenomena and the observed current range are crucial for the understanding the basic mechanisms at nanostructured electrodes for finding various biomolecules that are helpful for the development of sensors and energy storage devices for various applications." @default.
