- W4377970036 abstract "The existing unit commitment (UC) methods require additional processes to handle minimum up- and down-time (MUT and MDT) constraints and hiddenly underestimate the historical operating data of the IEEE 10-unit test system, thus necessitating a computational burden for solving large-scale UC problems. For this reason, this paper proposes a new UC method based on scenario tree pre-construction to eliminate the MUT and MDT constraints. In addition, the operational data from the literature are used to provide a fast solution for optimal economic dispatch, leading to a data-driven approach. Different simulation cases reveal that our proposed method can replicate the same computation procedure of the IEEE 10-unit test system to efficiently solve IEEE 20- to 4000-unit test systems while maintaining the computational performance. Therefore, this method can effectively solve a large-scale UC within a short execution time. Numerical results have shown the superiority of our proposed approach as compared to the literature." @default.
