- W4380030979 abstract "Since its introduction in the 1950s, orthogonal frequency division multiplexing has enabled low-loss data transmission in multipath high-frequency wireless channels. This paper first introduces Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM)’s development history and several principles related to OFDM like multipath fading. Then, based on OFDM, this paper analyzes BER performance of signals in different channels through Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) and Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT). By simulating BER using MATLAB, this study compares the performance of OFDM systems. The behavior of various transformations in various channels was investigated. BER is different in different channels. In AWGN channels, the BER of DWT-OFDM and DFT-OFDM is nearly the same. DFT-OFDM, on the other hand, performs better than DWT-OFDM in the Rayleigh channel. OFDM-based systems are suitable for power line carrier communications, submarine communications, and visible light communications." @default.
