- W4381104265 abstract "For this submission titled Animated Space, artists Anna Tow and Melody Li propose to reimagine and rework their existing multi-screen, collaborative animation originally created for the Design for All the Senses performance. To further express original themes of creative possibilities and life-centered connection, the reworking of the animation for the theme Creative Organic Spaces will take existing animation elements and combine them with additional digital 2d and 3d procedural and abstract animation assets. The artists will explore intuitive, spontaneous animation processes that rely on poetic responses from a selected artist-collaborator. The collaborator's responses will then translate into new animation iterations, using the process of making as described above. The intention is to create a thought-provoking artwork, where the evolving abstract animations are projected onto multiple screens and accompanied by the collaborators’ spoken word responses.
