- W4381125340 abstract "Discovery learning is a scientific learning model that is suitable to train students in critical thinking. Video assistance on several learning syntaxes can support students' critical thinking skills, because they can encourage motivation and complement students' experiences in learning. The study was conducted to determine the effect of the video-assisted discovery learning model on students' critical thinking skills. The method used is a quasi-experimental posttest-only control group design which was carried out at SMAN 1 Batu semester 2021/2022. The subjects of study are XI IPS 4 control class and XI IPS 5 experimental class. Collecting data using essay tests. Data were analyzed using a t-test and obtained sig. (2-tailed) 0.00 less than equal to 0.05, so H1 can be accepted, and H0 can be rejected, which means that the video-assisted discovery learning model affects students' critical thinking skills. The findings of this study are that the syntax that has the most influence on student's critical thinking skills is the data collection which raises three critical thinking indicators, followed by problem statement and verification with two critical thinking indicators. Furthermore, the syntax of stimulation, data processing, and generalization each appear as indicators of critical thinking. Another finding from this study is that gender also makes a difference in critical thinking skills, where female students get critical thinking scores above male students due to their different ways of thinking and learning styles.
 Discovery learning merupakan model pembelajaran saintifik yang cocok melatih siswa dalam berpikir kritis. Bantuan video pada beberapa sintaks pembelajaran mampu menunjang keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa, karena mampu mendorong motivasi dan melengkapi pengalaman siswa dalam pembelajaran. Penelitian dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model discovery learning berbantuan video terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Metode yang dipergunakan yaitu eksperimen semu desain posttest-only control group yang dilaksanakan di SMAN 1 Batu semester genap 2021/2022. Subjek dari penelitian yaitu XI IPS 4 kelas kontrol dan XI IPS 5 kelas eksperimen. Pengumpulan data menggunakan instrument tes berupa soal essay. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dan diperoleh sig. (2-tailed) 0.00 kurang dari sama dengan 0.05, sehingga H1 dapat diterima, H0 dapat ditolak, yang berarti model discovery learning berbantuan video lebih berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Temuan dari penelitian ini yaitu sintaks yang paling berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa adalah sintaks data collection yang memunculkan tiga indikator berpikir kritis, kemudian diikuti sintaks problem statement dan verification dengan dua indikator berpikir kritis. Selanjutnya sintaks stimulation, data processing, dan generalization masing-masing muncul satu indikator berpikir kritis. Temuan lain dari penelitian ini yakni gender juga membuat perbedaan terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis, di mana siswa perempuan memperoleh skor berpikir kritis di atas siswa laki-laki yang disebabkan oleh cara berpikir dan gaya belajar keduanya yang berbeda." @default.
