Their pooled analysis of 15-year follow-up data from 4 large randomized controlled trials convincingly shows substantial and sustained reduction in both CRC cases and deaths. In intention-to-screen analyses, incidence reduction of any CRC and distal CRC was reported as 21% and 32%, respectively.However, the reported reduction refers to detected CRC cases rather than truly incident ones.
