This study used descriptive qualitative method. In collecting data, researchers used observation, field notes and documentation. The results showed that the lecturers of the Greater Jakarta National Maritime Academy use communicative, translation, and silent methods in learning maritime English. nautical 1 lecturers use teaching methods that are in accordance with the learning objectives. Nautical lecturers 2 use teaching methods that are inconsistent with learning objectives. Meanwhile, engineering lecturers use teaching methods in accordance with the learning objectives. Students using the communicative method become more active and enthusiastic during the learning process. Meanwhile, the implications of using the translation method and silence in maritime English learning are inaccurate, during the learning process students look quickly bored and not excited." @default.
