Its essence, purpose, objectives and basic principles, such as the principle of awareness, are investigated and responsibility, unity and interaction, flexibility, partnership, hierarchy of development. Reviewed opportunities for implementing coaching in the pedagogical process. The main conditions for teacher interaction are defined and a pupil in the style of «coaching» and features of their pedagogical communication. The concepts of «coaching» and «image» are described. The coaching algorithm that provides for partnership and potential development is revealed, the result. Several types of coaching are identified (individual, group, Team, Career, corporate, business coaching, life coaching, conflict coaching, etc.) and motivational and value-based coaching is identified, cognitive, operational-activity, and reflexive components. The article describes the features of using coaching technology in higher education in the process of teaching academic disciplines in practical and seminar classes, for performing research tasks, term papers and theses on the purpose of stimulating independent cognitive search, decision-making, and responsibility development, confidence in your own abilities. Thus, we can conclude that the purpose of coaching in the maritime education system is: - increasing the motivation for professional activity of a future specialist; - disclosure of the internal potential of the student/cadet’s personality; - exchange of information and experience from the teacher-coach to students and vice versa. To achieve these goals, the following tasks are solved: - monitoring of the educational process (in particular, the educational and professional program), which allows you to take into account and predict changes that occur as a result of the use of certain modernized programs and technologies; - creating conditions aimed at effectively organizing the process of finding ways for students to achieve important professional goals; - recognition of the results of non-formal training (coaching) within the framework of the educational program, which are the acquisition of competencies defined as general; - introduction of coaching seminars as innovative teaching methods (in particular for professional disciplines)." @default.
