- W4383649404 abstract "Year by year, increasing attention is being paid to design thinking, and various schools are now teaching it. There are five stagwees in design thinking: empathy, definition, ideation, prototypes, and testing. This paper focuses on the definition stage before addressing the ideation stage. Within the definition stage of design thinking, the problem or issue is identified and the point of view is defined accordingly. One develops solutions from the defined point of view, and then narrows that down and defines the issues to be addressed. In the problem definition stage, it is important to decide what kind of solution to arrive at from a particular point of view; depending on how that point of view is defined, the same perspective can become a completely different idea. IDEO utilizes the “How might we…” template for organizing the solution to a problem, an approach that has been widely used. In addition, d.school is developing “How might we…” to organize the issues to be solved by breaking them down into 10 different items. Therefore, this paper discusses the stumbling blocks that subjects encounter pertaining to the development and organization of issues in the definition phase of a problem’s solution and their impact on the idea generation phase, utilizing 10 different items of “How might we…” as examples. This paper analyzes the results of a survey of 117 participants. The discussion is based on the results of the analysis, the current trends, and future prospects for the utilization of the “How might we…” template." @default.
