- W4383669966 abstract "Surprises are unavoidable. Indeed, it's feasible that more of the world's data (currently saved on hard disks as well as in the clouds) will be saved in DNA decades over the next, but also that the primary factor of DNA sequencing will be our insatiable hunger for data storage rather than our effort to combat disease. We have presented our best estimations for the future of DNA sequencing in this publication. Furthermore, public-health experts are debating how to analyze the DNA of all bacteria found in waste-water discharges across urban centers in order to detect disease epidemics faster. Marine biologists are also looking at using methodical meta-genomic investigations to monitor the health of the seas. With smoke detectors and thermostats, DNA-sequencing devices could be the next ‘smart’ or ‘integrated’ products in the house. One commenter even suggested using the toilets to check basic health using real-time DNA sequencing." @default.
