In the recent decade, it has seen drastic impact of climate change on Indian Himalayan forests, water agriculture, and horticulture sectors by influencing socioeconomic and ecosystem services. This study documents the perception of the indigenous community of climate change in the Lug Valley of Himachal Pradesh, India. This study highlights indigenous people's knowledge and understanding of climate change impact as they observe and respond to it and investigate the vulnerability of agriculture, water, and forest resources for different altitudinal settlements. The questionnaire was prepared based on different indicators (exposure, sensitivity, and adaptive capacity). The questionnaire-based study was conducted and data on the indicators were collected from the indigenous people of the villages. After collecting the data, it was normalized first and then weightage was assigned to each indicator based on the entropy method. The results show that the lower altitude region is most vulnerable (VI = 0.99359389), middle altitude is moderately vulnerable (VI = 0.443086266), and higher altitude is least vulnerable (VI = 0.438332883). Therefore, the study concluded that the lower altitude region should be adopted more adaptation practices to minimize the impact of changing climate." @default.
