- W4384282252 abstract "Nowadays, micropollutants (MPs) in the aquatic environment are a major problem, not only for the human population who uses water resources, but also for aquatic ecosystems. MPs present in water comprise a multitude of mineral and organic compounds likely to have a toxic action on humans and/or aquatic organisms, even at very low concentrations in water. Agriculture is largely the primary pesticide consumer. The list of biocides chiefly reveals three main families: insecticides, fungicides and herbicides. The main sources of water pollution due to pharmaceutical products are: diffuse sources and point sources. Tools for the continuous and comprehensive assessment of water quality are important in determining ecological costs and risks. Through its subsidiary EPAS-International and in partnership with WatchFrog, Veolia offers an innovative and original tool for the continuous detection of endocrine-disrupting compounds, by means of the FrogBox®." @default.
