In its increased focus on career awareness, the industry is uniting to reposition its brand. Today’s employment playing field has changed. The energy sector must connect with tomorrow’s workforce in ways that will resonate. Of course, with the focus on sourcing talent, equal energy must be placed on talent retention, especially since so many of the skill sets required in America’s energy future depend on the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) skills that are in high-demand disciplines.
