- W4384789110 abstract "Since the last decade, nanotechnology has been a multidisciplinary area for the production and application of nanosized particles in many critical technologies and products. Along with it, there has been an increasing release of such particles into the environment. Contamination of aquatic ecosystems with nanoparticles leads to alteration of various physicochemical parameters of water. Because such particles’ inherent property of binding capacity with cells and to integrate with their constituents, it may also lead to changes in the intracellular environment of the living organisms. Never-ending debates and doubts were prevailing worldwide on the effect of nanoparticles and their subsequent toxicological impacts. Therefore, despite developing nanotechnology achievements, there may be a need to examine various harmful impacts of its exposure to living beings, ecosystem toxicity, and related issues. This chapter is also aimed to illuminate such a phenomenon." @default.
