- W4385154080 abstract "The last 2 decades of the 20th century and the first two decades of this century have been abuzz with the word “nanotechnology.” The scientific community has been so enthralled and enchanted with nanostructures that they have been exploring them for almost every possible application. It seems that there is a rat race to replace every conventional material application with nanomaterials. Nanostructures could be applied everywhere, whether its energy or environment, biomedical sciences (diagnostics and therapeutics), manufacturing, automobiles, computing and electronics, agriculture and living plants, space and aeronautics, defense, and sports. From these broad areas of usage, this chapter will discuss cases of specific applications, culled out from scores of references to highlight the importance of nanostructures. While taking up these particular cases, briefly structure–property relationship with applications will also be deliberated." @default.
