- W4385267335 abstract "Maintenance, repair, and Overhaul (MRO) activities play a critical role in maintaining the availability of manufacturing assets and ensuring reliability throughout their lifecycle. To maintain an adequate level of service for the assets responsible for operations on a production line, MRO acts in a corrective, preventive or predictive way, providing specialized labor and spare parts. The availability of items at the right time and in the correct quantity is essential to prevent long stops, production losses, and quality issues, which consequently generate financial losses and impact the organization’s image with its customers. Due to issues involving storage and handling costs, it is not feasible to keep many spare parts in stock. In addition to the necessary storage care, an excess inventory can lead to financial losses in the event of obsolescence or decommissioning of assets. Keeping an optimized stock requires a variable response time for each item according to its characteristics, leading to a need to deal with priorities in the case of multiple purchase orders for spare parts. Decision-making without a general context of criticality can lead to an incorrect prioritization of item demands for MRO, resulting in additional costs to avoid situations that may compromise the availability and reliability of manufacturing assets. As the supply chain process for MRO can involve different areas of an organization, knowing the criticality of the item at the source is essential so that the priority level is established and propagated in all areas involved in the flow of purchases of non-productive items. This work proposes a study of criticality in different equipment and its bill of materials (BOM) of an automated line using real data generated in the form of the event log and submitted to process mining techniques. From identifying criticality attributes, submit them to multicriteria decision-making methods (MCDM) to obtain the prioritization of the space of alternatives composed of the stations and equipment provided. With the results obtained, it is expected to be aware of issues that impact the criticality level in manufacturing assets and provide information that helps decision-making on prioritization of purchase orders for spare parts." @default.
