- W4385354017 abstract "Fluoropolymers, such as polyvinylidene fluoride, poly(tetrafluoroethylene), and poly(perfluorinated alcoxylene), are usually considered as the specialized group of polymeric materials with partially or fully fluorinated olefinic repeat units. The mentioned polymers consist of rigid resins to elastomers with unique properties. Due to their thermal stability, inflammability, acceptable oil resistance, and noticeable chemical stability, in addition to high mechanical strength and low creep, these kinds of polymers are used in many industrial applications, such as chemical processing of pipes and components, cable jacketing, polymer processing additives, polymer electrolyte membrane, coatings. To further enhance their performances, the incorporation of nanoparticles into fluoropolymers to produce nanocomposites can be very efficient. This approach provides a new generation of fluoropolymers with improved mechanical, physical, and thermal stability. In the meantime, investigating the rheological properties of fluoropolymer nanocomposites is of great importance concerning characterizing the microstructure of the filled systems. Therefore, in this study, the melt rheological properties of fluoropolymer nanocomposites, their processing methods, and the relationship between rheology and morphology are discussed." @default.
