A total of eight studies including 1 956 patients were analysed for early and mid-term occlusion and complications rates. The study concluded that EVTA techniques and cyanoacrylate glue ablation (CAC) were comparable with respect to occlusion rates and improvement in quality of life (QoL). Nevertheless, non-thermal ablation techniques were associated with reduced post-operative pain and lower risk of nerve injury.
