The formation of the residual oil areas is primarily attributed to channeling paths in the surrounding regions that impede further displacement of residual oil. In the case of the horizontal through-fracture core, the production process sequentially unfolds across three distinct regions: the fracture, the inlet section of the matrix, and the matrix surrounding the fracture. Effective sweeping of water through the matrix is a result of the combined influence of the core's inlet section and the fracture. MRI allows for the visualization of channeling paths, and a comparative analysis shows the impact of the two fracture types on water flooding behavior. We have also observed oil accumulation phenomena, which significantly impairs oil recovery. This study delivers valuable insights into fluid flow behavior in reservoirs." @default.
