- W4386006972 abstract "The separation of spodumene and quartz is relatively difficult as they have similar physicochemical properties. To solve this problem, the role of carboxylate chitosan (CCS) in the separation of these two minerals using dodecylamine (DDA) as the collector was studied, and the depression mechanism was discussed through contact angle test, zeta potential test, Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) Spectroscopy test, and X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS) test. Flotation experiment results show that when CSS is used as a depressant, it can effectively separate spodumene and quartz. CCS can be chemisorbed on the spodumene surface through –COOH and Al site on the spodumene surface, and mainly adsorbed on the quartz surface through physisorption. In addition, further adsorption of DAA is hindered by CCS adsorbed on the spodumene surface, while DDA can be successfully adsorbed on the surface of quartz, resulting in a large difference in the floatability of the two minerals, thus achieving the flotation separation of spodumene and quartz." @default.
