The DNS results show that the solenoidal component of the energy spectrum and the solenoidal dissipation rate obtained from CIT agree well with those from incompressible turbulence when normalized by solenoidal quantities. Results with high spatial resolution show that the dilatational component of the energy spectrum for CIT exhibits a power law at high wavenumbers due to the appearance of shocklets." @default.
