- W4386227272 abstract "Electrochromic(EC) device offer a viable and efficient solution for optimizing building energy consumption, as they possess the ability to actively regulate the transmission of solar energy and visible light through voltage control. In this study, we endeavor to construct and investigate quasi-solid-state EC devices utilizing Mg2+ electrolytes. The MgCl2/PEG solid-state electrolyte is deposited through knife coating and applied in EC devices. The devices exhibit the ΔT exceeding 35% across a wavelength range of 540 to 1100 nm, with a maximum value of 44% at 660 nm. Additionally, the devices demonstrate the swift switching times and a high coloration efficiency. This work not only confirms the potential of MgCl2/PEG electrolytes as promising candidates for next-generation EC devices but also opens up new avenues for the preparation of high-performance quasi-solid-state EC smart windows." @default.
